About the project:

Name: The Party Palette 

It showcases the intricate 3mm -4 mm cotton and cotton poly blend, single stranded, recycled cords, brought together with almost 2080 knots to create the pixel picture. The tapestry is hung on a wooden pinewood dowel using 32 × 4mm twisted natural cotton cords with larks head knots. The piece is finished with 8 stylish chunky fringes, held by turquoise wool yarn.

This piece is an overall representation of bright and vivid colours in a party including the glimmer and shimmer shown by silver and golden cords. This is concluded with brown, symbolic of the end of the party. The blue in the fringes is to extend the ecstatic as well as cool free flowing party vibe. It is an ironic piece that lets the colours flow but also sees a closure and control with the end part of the tapestry. Safe to say, it is a representation of balance.

Inspiration: The colours in play everywhere around in spring & summer and the blue sky and floating white clouds in various shapes.

Delivery and Care:

- The tapestry comes wrapped in a flat packed cardboard box. The fringes will be individually wrapped in thick kraft paper to maintain during transit which can be removed on receiving.

- However, due to the nature of cotton, the fringes may misshapen which can be managed by combing with a wide toothed comb/pet brush gently.

- The cotton tapestry tend to gather dust over a long period of time. Although regular cleaning won't be required, to clean, gently use a hand vacuum/steam vacuum on lower setting and run it on the tapestry. Be mindful of the fringes while doing so.
